The Results
Our survey told us the experiences that people with a learning disability, their family carers and supporters have had living in Scotland. They told us that they had problems accessing important services such as social care, health care, and welfare rights. They told us that there is lots to do to improve the experience of people with learning disabilities in education and the work place.
Almost half of them told us they had experienced money problems over the last year and 97% of them told us they supported the creation of a commissioner role to uphold the rights of people with learning disabilities in Scotland.
